You can use our MLS tools, too, to search for recently sold properties. This is very useful as you learn about home prices in the areas that interest you. If you’re thinking about selling, searching these already sold homes will help you as you think about an asking price for your home.

Tips For Using Our MN MLS Listing Tools

To make your search more effective in finding homes that interest you, try these tips:

Select Multiple Cities or Areas by holding down your Ctrl key while you click on city names.
Provide detailed information on the search form about the specifics of the home you are seeking. The more specific the information, the more selective the search.
Use the Sort By options to put the search results in the order you prefer.
Click Show Details on any listing to get more information on that listing.
Click Save to Favorites to create your own personal list of homes. Note: you’ll have to register as a user the first time you do this.

What Is the Minnesota MLS?

The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is a database system created by Real Estate Brokers in a particular area. Member brokers have set up this system to share information about their listings and to make that information available to Realtors and agents in the area. Any member Realtor or agent may show any home listed in the database to prospective buyers, under agreements that let them share in the sales commissions.

In recent years, tools that allow homebuyers and sellers search the MLS listings have been developed, using the Internet. Individual searchers see the information most important to their searches, while additional information is available only to brokers, Realtors, and agents.
